‘ANSWERED PRAYERS’ 7″ VINYL SINGLE OUT NOW!

The limited edition vinyl single of ‘Answered Prayers’ is available right now in Australia. We pressed up a few copies to sell on Record Store Day this year but after that was delayed a couple of times we’ve decided to just put it out immediately. The b-side features Brad’s ‘Song Of The Year’, a scorching punk song that pays tribute to the legendary Brisbane punk bands of his youth. ‘Song Of The Year’ is also a howl of protest against the many punk impostors today.

When I say “limited edition” I mean it: there are only 1000 copies. So get your hands on a future collector’s item while you can. For those people living outside Australia, your best bet to obtain a copy is via a specialty record shop. There are many great independent retailers in Australia that will happily export vinyl to customers overseas but one I can recommend is Sydney’s Red Eye Records. Here is a link to order ‘Answered Prayers’ from them. Do it now! You’ll be glad you did.

HOODOO GURUS 2020 U.S. TOUR POSTPONED TO 2021

A few days ago we announced on Facebook that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we will be postponing our tour scheduled for late-October/early-November this year until mid-September/early-October next year. Some of the same venues have already been confirmed and tickets held for those shows will be valid for the new dates (refunds are also available). Additionally, for those cities where we will have a change of venue (due to problems with availability), the existing tickets will also be honoured for those as well (again, refunds are available).

Due to touring congestion (everyone is trying to book shows for next year right now) we may have to skip a few cities but we are doing our best to rebook every show/city. Unfortunately three shows are definitely cancelled: Salt Lake City (The State Room), Aspen (Belly Up) and Denver (Bluebird Theater).

We can only apologise for the disappointment this has caused and we will try to get back as soon as possible to these and the other cities we will miss this time around. Please check our Facebook page (link here) for updates about new dates. I will be announcing all the rescheduled shows there as soon as they are confirmed. Later, I will list the details of the entire tour here, including ticketing links.

They say that hindsight is always 20/20 but, thus far, 2020 has been a year we all would rather look back on with hindsight. We can only hope that it ends better than it began.

‘MACH SCHAU DELUXE EDITION’ STREAMING NOW

The new Deluxe Edition of our 2004 album ‘Mach Schau’ contains all the songs from the Australian and U.S. releases (some of which had never ben available for streaming before), as well as two rare b-sides. That’s a grand total of 18 tracks over 58 minutes. We should have called it a Super-Deluxe Edition.
